Our expert employees throughout product development, product management and sales combined with our consistent close customer service are the key to our success. Our special engineering ensures efficiency across our extensive range of machinery, all of which is required to produce the countless individual components for our locks. Our in-house tool construction allows us to respond to the requirements of the market with maximum flexibility. The proximity of our internal construction specialist department to our production planning and production departments is also a key factor here.
Added value on-site
Our main plant is home to our forming technology – the core of our production. Stamped from coil using our presses and special tools, our many components required to make our high-quality locks come to life. FUHR also uses highly specialised suppliers for any other components required, most of which are based in Heiligenhaus. Lock components and electronic components are then assembled using machines in FUHR’s assembly area and subsequently tested for quality and function.
Securely towards high-quality products
The requirements for security products are constantly growing. Our locking systems are based on the basic idea of offering added value to the fabricator and guaranteeing durability and secure application.
Highly sophisticated test benches and testing routines allow for product qualification and monitoring without compromise. This includes continuous inspections by reputable, independent test institutes within Germany and abroad. FUHR also has its own test benches in accordance with EN 1627 ff. and EN 1191 which we happily make available for our market partners for element preliminary tests.
FUHR also supports door manufacturers and system providers with a range of selected services:

Our product portfolio includes around 14,000 sellable items that are supplied across the world. Our ranges are also tailored to the various regionally specific requirements and door types. We also have branches across the world to ensure even closer customer contact and shorter response times in significant export markets. We also design individual product solutions together with our partners. We generally produce the resulting diverse supply range on an order-oriented basis.
In order to continuously improve how efficiently we work with our customers, we place particular importance on optimising the flow of goods and expanding digital data exchange channels. Targeted digitalisation is a core element of the FUHR corporate strategy and forms the basis for joint business success with our customers.
